“Serving you the World” is the motto chosen this year by WOFEX MANILA, one of the most authoritative international food shows on the trade fair circuit. In its 18th year, WOFEX welcomed 50,000 professionals from the HO.RE.CA sector, mainly from south-east Asia, in its usual two venues (the SMX Convention Center and the World Trade Center). This was an important event for Giorik, which was exhibiting with its local importer, BESTERM INTERNATIONAL CORP. Over the past couple of years, the rate of economic growth in the Philippines has been one of the highest in the world. The country’s GDP (which was 350 billion dollars in 2016) has risen an average of 6.5% every year since 2012, making the economy of the Philippines the 34th largest in the world.
