A sustainable approach to business is a given in today’s world. Whether we’re talking about the energy used by our equipment, the materials we use to make it or our supply chain, minimising our impact on the environment and the lives of other people should drive everything we do.
Giorik decided to extend its commitment to saving the planet to its production facilities, using renewable energy as its sole energy source.
So it signed a 100% Clean Energy agreement with provider Dolomiti Energia for its production facilities. Its Guarantee of Origin certifies that the electricity produced by the renewable energy systems certified by GSE (Energy Services Manager), the provider tasked by the Italian government to achieve environmental sustainability goals by promoting renewable sources and energy efficiency, is renewable and traceable.
This decision meant that in 2023 we saved 177,0263 tons of CO2!
