Giuseppe Longo is a butcher on a mission, who inherited his passion for food and cooking from his father, helping him in his shop in the pretty town of Montecorvino Pugliano in the province of Salerno from an early age. There he learnt how to recognise the very best meats and their products, putting this knowledge to good use and opening his own shop, Bottega Longo, in Bellizzi. The shop has become a local institution, evolving constantly in its aim to source the newest and finest products on the market. His ‘Braceria Toro Rosso’ restaurant is the cherry on top of the cake and the culmination of his own personal journey of discovery and growth.

The industrial interior of the Braceria, with its contemporary yet cosy vibe, works of art on the walls and tables with a pared-back but impactful look that is a nod to the vibrant red logo, reflects Giovanni’s vision: to be a contemporary butcher who not only cares about the provenance and quality of his meat but also wants to share his knowledge of the different cuts and the best way to cook them with his customers. In fact, the menu stands out for its extraordinary selection of meat from all over the world, including Denmark, Spain, Uruguay, Finland, Japan and the US.
All the kitchen equipment, featuring our Unika 900 horizontal cooking line and an oven from the Movair range, was installed by Zunno, our local dealer for the province of Salerno.
