So what about the food? The real showstopper is the stuffed roast pork PGI from Ariccia, whose meat is tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. But what really blew us away were the fried courgette flowers in batter, stuffed with anchovies and mozzarella - one bite and we were back in the capital. Diners can choose whether to eat in or take out. We went for the second option, so we could enjoy the typical flavours as we explored the pretty streets of Ferrara.
