Lulu’s Cafe, Bar & Bistro is a bistro which welcomes tourists and locals alike in the harbour of Torquay, on Victoria Parade. Featuring a subtle retro style, Lulu’s Cafe recently underwent renovations to its public premises and kitchens. Thanks to the advice of Eurocatering, our partner in the English market, the owners settled on introducing a Movair 10-tray oven which suits the size of the premises and type of food served down to the ground. Open from morning to evening, the bistro needs an oven that is extremely versatile, allowing it to swap from breakfast croissants to a more extensive range of food served at lunch or dinner.

With its electronic touchscreen, the MovAir also lightens the workload of staff, as already experienced by Lulu’s staff members Debbi, James and Alex during the training session delivered by chef Darren Massey, resident Eurocatering Chef and an expert in Giorik ovens. Darren taught them how to master the new combined oven by cooking a slow-cooked brisket, one of the latest dishes introduced on the new menu, which will see some pleasant surprises for diners. The addition of the MovAir has in fact enabled Lulu’s to raise the bar, allowing staff to prepare new dishes and ensure service is structured more efficiently. This is thanks also to the hundreds of recipes preloaded in the oven itself, or advanced functions like the rack control, which allows different dishes to be cooked on different levels at the same time.
