Giorik has notched up a new installation for the kitchens at “Sora Lella”, the renowned restaurant on the Isola Tiberina island in the River Tiber. KAIT Srl, one of Giorik’s business partners, has in fact installed a range of equipment in the well-known eatery. The equipment from the UNIKA900 modular cooking range is now at the service of Chefs Renato and Mauro Trabalza. Established in 1940, the restaurant is named after famous actress Elena Fabrizi, known to all as Sora Lella, who ran it for many years. Her performances in Carlo Verdone’s films, to name but a few, are unforgettable: Bianco, rosso e Verdone and Acqua e sapone.

 

Sora Lella was also an excellent cook and made sure that she passed this passion on to her family: now her son Aldo, along with grandchildren Simone, Renato, Mauro and Elena Trabalza, are continuing this culinary tradition centred on rediscovering typical Roman cuisine. The restaurant recently upheld its reputation by winning a challenge on “4 Ristoranti”, the well-known culinary television contest orchestrated by Chef Borghese, thereby enshrining its popularity amongst the capital’s venues for dining out. Dealer: Kait SrL
