Giorik has signed a 100% Clean Energy agreement with provider Dolomiti Energia for its production facilities in Sedico. Its Guarantee of Origin certifies that the electricity produced by the renewable energy systems certified by GSE (Energy Services Manager), the provider tasked by the Italian government to achieve environmental sustainability goals by promoting renewable sources and energy efficiency, is renewable and traceable.
“Renewable energy systems” means systems which produce energy from sources that will not run out or that do not produce CO2, such as water, sun, wind, wave motion, geothermal heat and biomass.
We are already seeing the impact of this important decision in our monthly bill, which shows just how much CO2 we have saved.
In 2023 we reduced our emissions by 177,0263 tons!
