The long-standing PINGO DOCE supermarket chain, established in Portugal in 1980, is incorporating GIORIK fittings into the kitchens of the brand new restaurant at Lisbon market. During the whole day, in a covered area which, in the case of the Portuguese capital, covers 6,000 square metres, there is a fully-fledged permanent market offering both local and international food specialities. The same site houses a restaurant where diners can enjoy delicious dishes on the premises, prepared by expert chefs using the very same fine products available in the market. The Lisbon restaurant serves 300 seated diners and is always packed with guests. In such an unusual location, where the kitchen must guarantee both the utmost reliability of the equipment owing to the constant work loads and the greatest versatility of the equipment itself, given the vast variety of menus to be prepared, GIORIK’s contribution proved vital. The fitting, which consists of the Unika hobs and Steambox ovens, has been designed by Fribarco of Guimarães, Giorik’s partner in the area.
